Since your Friends of the Library Group hasn't met yet, here are some of the goals I came up with and would love to suggest! Please don't think these have to be done right away! We will work toward these things, have some fun, and learn a lot on the way!

Goals and Objectives for Friends of the Library

• Objective: Raise ~$250 to fund Fall library programs

• Goal: Millage advocacy
• Objective: Make community aware of good the library does
  • Advertise (letters to the editor and support at township meetings)
  •  Handouts (on the facts of the library)
  • Word of mouth
  • Presence at events
• Goal: Recruitment
• Objective: Recruit 25-30 members in 1 year
  • Advertise (talk at events, word of mouth, Facebook group, posters, website, …)
  • Retain (keep in contact, keep events/meetings planned – 1/month at least, …)
• Goal: Volunteer
• Objective: Volunteer for 100 hours
  • Book sales
  • Help the library weed its collection
  • Lectures
  • Craft demonstrations
  • Give classes
